When I take a moment and think how easy it was for Jesus to agree to die on a cross for His creation, I quickly become convicted and perhaps embarrassed why it took so long for me to receive that reality. It was easy for Jesus to say “Yes I will go down from heavens glory and I will put on a mantle of humility. I will walk, talk, eat, drink, laugh and even cry with My creation humanity.” Amazingly Jesus didn’t give it a second thought to come reveal, serve, and minister to all. Tragically so many people work so hard to deny the good intentions and desires of God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father sent His only begotten Son. God the Holy Spirit directs the heart of humanity to the cross. And yes last but not least Jesus, God the Son, stretching His arms out on a cross and bleeding out for His creation. Yes all these things were easy for the loving Triune God to agree to. Easy for the Godhead to agree, why so hard for the majority of mankind to accept? Forgiveness is always abundant from our Savior.
We’ll continue to pray for our loved ones to quit fighting and join the ranks of the redeemed. Yes it was easy for Jesus, therefore we will always wonder why do many insist on making it hard on themselves? Lord continue to pour Your love on this sin filled dying world that some may be saved. To Jesus be the glory. You made it so easy.
