“I’ve known that I was called to be a worship leader, since God told me that He was going to use me to serve Him. I played on worship teams since I started serving God at 18 years old. I really fell in love with worship when, at 19 years old, I went to Calvary Chapel Downey, and heard the purest worship I’d ever heard! Thirty-five years later, God called me to be a worship leader. God’s calling caused me to move to the High Desert and serve for 10 years. Then, I came back down to the Inland Empire, and a couple of years later, here to Jurupa Valley, at Calvary Chapel, under the leadership of Pastor Greg Rondeau.
As worship leader, my desire is to lead the congregation into the greatest time of worship ever! Remembering what Jesus told the woman at the well in John 4:23-24 (NLT), “But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.” To think, the God of the universe wants to fellowship with us, through singing to Him—His very Word!
Here at CCJV, we worship during every service, as God loves corporate worship! Psalm 22:3 (NLT) reads, “Yet You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.” This verse highlights God’s holiness and His dwelling among His people, specifically within their praises. It emphasizes God’s presence and authority being acknowledged and celebrated by the Israelites.
Also, through worship, we get blessed! Psalm 24:5-6 says, “They will receive the Lord’s blessing and have a right relationship with God, their Savior. Such people may seek You and worship in Your presence, O God of Jacob.”
We at CCJV emphasize worship through God’s holy Word! We write new songs, as well as sing songs that came about through Psalms, and the whole Bible, to help encourage, worship, and bless! Psalm 33:3 says, “Sing a new song of praise to Him; play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy.” We also desire to play skillfully, and to put out the best worship that we can! My desire is to help, aid, and encourage my team to be the best we can be.
We would love to see you Sunday mornings at 9:00am or 11:00 am; or Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm. The First Wednesday of every month, we have an “Afterglow” Worship Night. This is a night dedicated to full worship! We sing, wait on God, and seek His gifts, as taught in 1 Corinthians 12, all while remembering what 1 Corinthians 14 encourages us to do, “Let all things be done decently and in order.”
Come up and say hello! May God richly bless and keep you!”
