The Agape Way Ministry is a Christ-centered, faith-based support group that assists individuals dealing with various types of obsessive-compulsive and/or addictive behaviors. Agape Way is rooted in Christian principles, using scripture and faith-based practices to guide members through their recovery journey. Agape Way groups provide support for various forms of addictive behavior, and are not solely limited to substance abuse.
The Agape Way Ministry aims to help individuals deepen their faith in Jesus Christ, and find a sense of purpose in their lives. We aim to provide an emphasis on freedom and recovery through a strong relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Participants have the opportunity to connect with fellow believers facing similar challenges, fostering a sense of community and mutual support. Group members share their experiences, strengths, and hopes related to recovery; and often provide accountability to one another in their recovery efforts. Participants learn and develop healthy coping mechanisms to manage challenges, temptations, or anything that is hindering your joy or your relationship with Jesus.
There is a strict confidentiality policy in our groups, so that what is said in the group, remains in the group. We strive for a Christian, family environment, filled with mutual trust and bonds among members.
Agape Way utilizes a flexible format that includes Biblical teachings and devotionals about addictions of various types, stories from individuals who have experienced recovery through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and group discussions. Throughout the year, Agape Way also hosts several events and outings, providing fellowship, social interactions, and fostering a sense of community among participants. We aim to help participants realize they are not alone, and to provide a space for shared experiences and support.
The Agape Way Ministry meets the second and fourth Fridays of each month, at 7pm, at CCJV. Other special events and outings will be announced separately throughout the year.
If you are interested in participating in any of the Agape Way meetings and/or events, please contact Danny and Terrie Ormonde, Director and Leader of the Agape Way Ministry; or Pat Jaszewski, Administrator and Leader of the Agape Way Ministry at (951) 685-1180 or at servant@calvarychapeljurupavalley.com.
